I’ve been a long time customer of El Burro’s and was devastated when it closed. I’ve made this three time so far and everyone I’ve served it to loves it. I can’t quite get it to taste like El Burro’s but it really close. I’ve added fresh roasted chile peppers, garlic and onions . I think used the bone from the pork shoulder gives it added taste.

Pretty darn close to El Burro. Next time I’ll try the advice in the advanced recipe page.
